Deana Taheri is a British actor, writer, director, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York.

Her short film Bill—which she wrote, produced, and starred in—earned multiple awards on the international festival circuit, including Best Horror at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts LA, and was featured in Variety as a standout of FilmQuest 2025. Her directorial debut, A Boy Like Me, is slated to premiere this January at Dances With Films NY.

As a voice artist, Deana has narrated several New York Times bestsellers for Audible and other major audiobook platforms. She also works closely with Space Fish Productions, producing a substantial slate of their music video content.

In addition to her screen work, Deana is currently developing an original absurdist comedy play exploring press censorship, titled The Strange Disappearance of Cat Braun and Minnie Roy. She is completing her Master’s degree at The New School.

When not creating, Deana can be found traveling, basking in sunny corners of the world, and unapologetically rejecting the idea that reality television should ever be considered a “guilty” pleasure.
